Planning the next 20 years of my life is strangely satisfying, but I know that there is a very little chance that my life with actually follow this path and that excites me too. I would like to start out by graduating high school and attending a competitive four-year university, pursuing a major in biochemistry. While in college I hope to compete at the NCAA D1 Rowing Championships, and study abroad for atleast one year. After graduating college I plan to take one or two gap years, where I will travel and work as a waitress in a hip cafe in New York City. I will then apply to med-schools, and attend Columbia University (hopefully) and obtain my M.D. While in med school I hope to do work with medical research companies, and work to bring medicine to third world countries. After graduating I will apply to residencies. I will move back to where it all started, San Francsico, and work as an OB/GYN surgical resident at UCSF General Hospital. Over the next 5 years of my residency I hope to adopt a Corgi, meet a tall, handsome architect to settle down with, and start a blog. After residency I will take (and pass) the California Board exams, and apply to fellowships at UCSF and UCLA. After I secure a spot as an attending at Mt. Zion Hospital, Paulo (the architect), Tim (the corgi) and I will move across the bay to Berkeley. We will have two kids, Carson and Wren and live happily ever after :-)
